Declarations
The Robert Morris University (RMU) Student Chapter of the Association for Computing Machinery (ACM) performs services and provides goods in accordance with the ACM Code of Ethics and Professional Conduct. The Chapter is associated with RMU and the national ACM and all statements here extend to those organizations.
Definitions
- a promise or assurance, esp. one in writing, that something is of specified quality, content, benefit, etc., or that it will perform satisfactorily for a given length of time: a money-back guarantee.
- a stipulation, explicit or implied, in assurance of some particular in connection with a contract, as of sale: an express warranty of the quality of goods.
Computing machinery
- hardware, software, or related services provided by the RMU Student Chapter of the ACM or through the Chapter via a third party.
Statement of Responsibility
The RMU Student Chapter of the ACM provides the agreed upon computing machinery as-is, without warranty or guarantee of service or quality. The Chapter is not responsible for any intentional or unintentional misuse or improper operation of the computing machinery. The Chapter is not responsible for any malfunction of the computing machinery.
Statement of Affiliation
The RMU Student Chapter of the ACM is not necessarily affiliated with, in agreement with, or supporting of the organization being donated to. The computing machinery is provided as a donation under the mission statement of the Community Outreach program.
