Elected Officers

Elected officers have a special responsibility to make sure that the desires of the Chapter membership, as expressed in the Chapter bylaws, and the edicts of ACM, as expressed in the ACM Constitution, bylaws, policies, and procedures, are followed.
Elected officers accept a certain responsibility when running for office. Part of this responsibility is the orderly implementation of the duties of the office in the manner consistent with previous office holders, with the bylaws, and with the laws of the State of California. Major changes to the procedures of any office can cause unexpected side effects elsewhere in the Council and hence should be discussed in a Council meeting.
The procedures in this section are for the Elected Officers. A careful reading of the Chapter Bylaws, especially Article V, Management, is strongly recommended.
The following is an addendum to the original text of the main section introduction, for convenience in accessing the LA-ACM Wiki versions of the subsection procedures for each office.
